Ohio Natural Gas’ aggregation programs offer value to your community beyond just a competitive rate.

What is Aggregation?

Aggregation empowers your community to act as a single buying group. With the combined purchasing power of every resident and small business, your community may negotiate rates more favorable than if you went shopping for natural gas plans on your own.

Your community authorizes this program on your behalf, but participation is voluntary – you can opt out. Your utility company does not change and will continue to deliver your gas, monthly bill and respond to any service issues.

How does it work?

  1. Community Vote

    Through public process and participation, your community authorized a program.

  2. Notification

    Once a rate has been negotiated, you’ll receive a letter from us describing the rate, terms of service, and instructions for opting out should you prefer not to participate.

  3. Auto-Enroll

    To participate you don’t have to do a thing – you’re automatically enrolled at the rate your community negotiated. To opt out, you must do so before the stated deadline in your letter.

  4. Service Begins

    Ohio Natural Gas supplies your gas and you will see the ONG logo on your next utility bill. Your utility still delivers the gas to your home and handles any service issues.

We work with brokers, consultants, and other entities that represent municipalities through aggregation bidding processes. From proposal to enrollment, we work with you to deliver a great rate to the communities you serve.

For Residents and Small Businesses

If you’ve recently moved into a community we serve and need to enroll, contact us using the information above. You’ll be eligible for the aggregation rate for the remainder of the community agreement.

Once you make the decision to work with us, we handle the rest. ONG covers the enrollment process, customer notifications, and customer support, so you don’t have to worry about the day to day operations of your community’s natural gas needs.
